The HCRC Webinars are the Housing Commons Research Centre’s public Discussion Series. It’s a dynamic online series for learning, dialogue, and building momentum toward justice-centred housing alternatives.
Our monthly webinars bring together community organizers, housing practitioners, researchers, and grassroots leaders to critically examine the limitations of Canada’s profit-driven housing system while highlighting community-led models that prioritize care, collective ownership, equity, and self-determination. Rooted in values of anti-racism, accessibility, and environmental justice, these sessions connect theory with on-the-ground practice, uplift the leadership of equity-deserving communities (including Indigenous, Black, 2SLGBTQIA+, disabled, unhoused, and underhoused folks), and foster cross-border knowledge exchange.
Whether you’re a student, researcher, organizer, or simply passionate about reimagining housing as a commons, these webinars offer accessible opportunities to learn, reflect, and connect.
